I put this up this morning without a proper comment, so thanks to those who faved anyway- you know who you are! I do enjoy drawing my version of the Mario brothers, mostly because the style I'm now developing hits so many nostalgia buttons for me. Though i think its here that I've finally nailed how I want Mario to 'look', though here he looks like he's ready to blow up some parked cars! The glowing eyes were inspired by the pyrotechnic Liz Sherman of Mike Mignola's Hellboy comics and its animated series (the character designer of which- Sean Galloway-is a deviant here: [link] ) I thought it'd be great if their eyes could glow their respective fireball colours. This was way too much fun to do, so I hope you out there like it too. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
